Concord City Councilor At-Large

Amanda Grady Sexton is the Public Policy Director for the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, a statewide non-profit organization that advocates for adult and child victims of abuse. For more than a decade Amanda has worked with the New Hampshire Legislature to help strengthen New Hampshire's domestic violence protective order statute, to extend the civil statute of limitations in childhood sexual assault cases and to re-write the sexual offender registry and sexual assault laws. In addition Amanda has worked to pass legislation that has criminalized the act of human trafficking, strangulation and domestic violence. Amanda works closely with the Federal Delegation to provide support on policy and funding initiatives relative to domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Amanda’s efforts in the field of victim advocacy were recognized and honored with the Union Leader's "40 Under Forty" Award and the New Hampshire Governor's Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence's "Honorable William B. Paine II Award”. Amanda serves as a 3rd term City Councilor in Concord, NH and is an active volunteer and board member for various charitable organizations.
